Thanksgiving Garage Sale

2018-11-22

Thursday, 22nd November 2018 ~ Celebrating Thanksgiving Day

Cambridge School of Constanta organizes a fun Thanksgiving event. Students and teachers have the pleasure of inviting parents to the Thanksgiving Day Fair!

Until 12.00 p.m. we will have a normal school program (breakfast, classes, lunch, uniform). After 12.00, the students will decorate muffins and dress fruit in chocolate. For this activity, each student will extract a list of ingredients to bring them to school for shared use.

Starting 14.30, everyone (students, parents) is invited to participate at our Garage Sale! Within this activity, stands will be arranged, on which the objects that our students bring form home will be placed. Each student will bring at least two items: one to exchange with their colleagues, and another to sell at the Garage Sale.

There is also a list of recommended objects: plush toy, games, headphones, e-readers, iPods, sports accessories (tennis rackets, paddles, and mittens), books, interesting pens and pencils, decorations

IMPORTANT! The objects must be clean and in a very good condition. We recommend that you put them in a nice, transparent or easy-to-see through wrapping.

Each object will have a label with a recommended price and a tag with a short description (ex: Oana – fountain pen – 15 lei, I bought it last winter from my carolling money). The unsold items and the raised money will go to C. S. C. Sparta Rotterdam – Techirghiol center. CSC students will return home with an old object from a colleague, to which they will write a new story.

The day ends at 16.00. Thank you and we’ll be waiting for you to taste our sweets and our Thanksgiving turkey on Thursday!

maths in motion

The 1st Maths in Motion Club in Romania!
We are proud to announce the new Club running in our school! Initiated by our teacher Mrs Claudia Ispas, supported by Miss Anca Munteanu, Maths in Motion will help raise standards in Mathematics, will engage and motivate Cambridge students, demonstrate that Maths can be fun using this cool software.
The Maths in Motion Challenge for Schools is the biggest challenge of its kind in the UK. Working together in small teams, students use an interactive computer based simulation to set up a virtual racing car. For their car to perform well in the virtual races, the students will need to solve a number of practical maths problems and apply their solutions to the simulation.
