Primary School
Assessments
At Cambridge School of Constanta, student evaluation is an integral part of the learning process. Measuring a student’s progress provides vital information regarding their academic and personal performance in the classroom, so as to monitor their development academically, socially and behaviourally. By forming a comprehensive understanding of the performance of each student, teachers are able to create learning plans which meet the specific needs of every student on a personal level, thus ensuring that each child develops successfully.
Through observation, practical activities, and assessments, teachers track progress and provide regular feedback to parents via scheduled meetings and the Kinderpedia platform. This feedback allows for the development of an effective support structure for each student, as parents and teachers are able to communicate effectively about a child’s academic and personal development.
Students also participate in national assessments and Cambridge Primary Checkpoint exams to gauge their knowledge against international benchmarks.
National assessments take place annually, usually towards the end of the school year, according to a timetable set by the MEC:
