The Cambridge AS and A Level programme is an internationally recognised qualification that prepares students for university and future careers. Year 12 and Year 13 students are able to complete subjects which focus on depth and specialisation, encouraging advanced analytical thinking and subject mastery, fostering readiness for higher education and professional success.

These prestigious qualifications are highly regarded by universities worldwide and emphasize subject-specific expertise, analytical skills, and independent learning, while building upon the foundation established by IGCSE.

Program Structure and Assessment:

  • AS Level: Usually taken in Year 12, each AS Level subject counts as one credit.
  • A Level: Completed by the end of Year 13, with each full A Level subject worth two credits.

To qualify for the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma, students must accumulate at least seven credits across AS and A Level studies, selecting subjects from designated groups. One credit must come from each of the core groups (Sciences, Languages and Humanities), with additional credits from any group. The interdisciplinary subject Global Perspectives and Research is also required, cultivating students’ research skills, global awareness, and critical thinking.

AICE Diploma Grading System:

  • Distinction: 360 points or more,
  • Merit: 250–359 points,
  • Pass: 140–249 points.

Points are allocated as follows:

  • AS Level: A = 60, B = 50, C = 40, D = 30, E = 20.
  • A Level: A* = 140, A = 120, B = 100, C = 80, D = 60, E = 40.

Students who pursue the AICE Diploma engage in an advanced curriculum spanning multiple subjects. This prestigious qualification promotes academic excellence and is highly regarded by universities worldwide, providing an excellent foundation for further studies.
