Cambridge International Examination (CIE) Series Process

Cambridge School of Constanța administers the Cambridge International Examination (CIE) series twice annually, providing students with essential academic milestones and opportunities to achieve internationally recognised qualifications.

Examination Schedule and Series

The Cambridge International Examination sessions are held in two main series each academic year:

  • June Series: The primary exam period, covering IGCSE, AS, and A Level examinations across all subjects.
  • November Series: Available for students requiring retakes or early exams in specific subjects.

Each exam session follows a structured timetable established by Cambridge Assessment International Education. Students are advised to review the official schedule well in advance to understand the timing and structure of their exams.

Entry Deadlines and Registration Process

To participate in an exam series, students must complete their registration and submit all entry details by the official deadlines:

  • June Series Entry Deadline: Registration is typically due by early February. Final deadline information is provided by the school administration each academic year.
  • November Series Entry Deadline: Registration is generally due by mid August. Students are advised to plan accordingly, especially if intending to retake exams from the June series.

The registration process is coordinated through our school’s Cambridge Examinations Officer, who provides students or their families with detailed entry forms. These forms must be filled out accurately, and any additional supporting documents, such as identification or special accommodations requests, should be submitted with the registration.

Examination Fees

Exam fees for each CIE series are available from the school’s front office. Fees vary based on the level (IGCSE, AS, A Level) and the number of subjects taken. Families will receive a full breakdown of costs during the registration period. Payment deadlines will be communicated alongside entry requirements to ensure timely processing.

Important Information and General Guidelines

  • Identification: Students are required to bring a valid form of identification on exam days. Accepted forms of ID include school ID cards or government-issued identification.
  • Special Accommodations: Students requiring accommodations (e.g., extra time, special seating) must notify the administration during the registration process. Supporting documentation from medical or educational professionals may be required.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Students must arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes before the start time. Late arrivals may not be permitted to enter once the exam has begun.
  • Exam Conduct: All candidates are expected to adhere to the Cambridge International Examination conduct guidelines, which will be provided during exam orientation.

For further questions regarding exam series schedules, registration procedures, or fees, please contact the Cambridge School of Constanța front office, where our staff will be happy to assist. We aim to make the CIE examination process as clear and seamless as possible, supporting each student on their path to academic achievement.
